To register the transfer of nuclear material which is deemed to be irrecoverable to retained waste category the user should use the Transfer to Waste command from the Operations submenu and provide with the following data (See Fig. 7.16):
·MBA, KMP, from which nuclear material should be transferred,
·Manufacturer number of nuclear material to be transferred,
·Flow KMP where transfer is made,
·Date of inventory change.

Results of transfer to waste of a nuclear material (in this case Manufacturer number BV01) is automatically added in the General Ledger of MBA (Fig. 7.17) and in the history of the material.
