NUCMAT is a so-called Web based application. It means that it can be installed on a web server and any clients can have access to the NUCMAT database through Internet using freely available internet browsers like Internet Explorer or Google Chrome. However, NUCMAT can be installed on the client’s personal computer and can be accessed again by internet browser by typing in the address line – http://localhost/nucmat.
NUCMAT v3.1 uses Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Express to store and manage data. NUCMAT v.3.1 is developed using Microsoft Visual Studio 2012.
NUCMAT v3.1 can be installed on 32-bit and 64-bit computers with Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 and 2012 operating systems.
Preferable requirement to the computer system for NUCMAT deployment is the following:
·In case of installation on a Server. An entry level server like Dell PowerEdg T110 with Intel Xeon E3-1220v2 3.10 GHz, 16GB memory, 2x500GB 7.2k RPM SATA disk, Windows Server 2012 Standard Ed and 5 users license, a simple monitor.
· In case of installation on a desktop computer – workstation like Dell Precision T1700 Mini Tower workstation with Intel Core I3 or I5, Windows 7 Professional, 4 or 8GB memory, 500GB 7200 Rpm SATA disk, 24” Monitor. MS Office must be installed on computer.
·Printer. A simple laser jet A4 format B/W printer.
